Krys Maki est professeur adjoint à l’École d’innovation sociale Élisabeth-Bruyère. Ses domaines de recherche incluent les mouvements féministes, l’organisation collective autour de la violence basée sur le genre, la pauvreté et l’inégalité sociale, et les études de surveillance critique. En dehors du milieu universitaire, Krys a travaillé en tant que directeur de la recherche et des politiques à Hébergement Femmes Canada, un réseau national à but non lucratif de hébergement pour femmes victimes de violence (2017-2022). Leur chercheur militant est profondément influencé par leur travail d’organisateur et d’activiste de longue date au sein des mouvements syndicaux, anti-pauvreté et féministes.
